About This Project
This free tool helps you estimate a daily water target using simple inputs such as weight, exercise minutes, climate, and life stage. It’s designed to be fast, private (runs in your browser), and practical.
What it does
- Calculates a baseline of 35 mL per kg of body weight.
- Adds 12 mL per exercise minute for moderate to vigorous activity.
- Optionally increases for hot and humid climates and adjusts for pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Shows friendly equivalents (cups & bottles) to plan your day.
What it does not do
- It’s not medical advice. Hydration needs vary widely, so talk to a clinician for personal guidance.
- It doesn’t track you. Inputs are not sent to a server.
Why hydration matters
Water supports temperature regulation, digestion, cognition, exercise performance, and overall health. Most people do well by sipping regularly, increasing on hot days and during activity, and using thirst and pale urine color as quick checks.
